Marjorie Fedyszyn is an artist educator living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A multi-discipline artist with roots in fiber, Fedyszyn is a 2019 MCAD – Jerome Foundation Fellow for Early Career Artists, was awarded a 2018 Artist Initiative Grant by the Minnesota State Arts Board and a 2018 Next Step Grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. She was a 2013 recipient of a Textile Center Jerome Fiber Artist Project Grant. Her studio practice is in the historic Casket Arts Building in NE Minneapolis. There she creates felted works, sculptures, paintings, drawings and installation art.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally including Wintertide, Public Functionary; 60th Arrowhead Biennial, Duluth Art Institute; Quarter Gallery, University of MN; Maryland Federation of Art, Circle Gallery, Annapolis, MD; Yeiser Art Center, Paducah KY; Phipps Center for the Arts, Hudson, WI and Catherine G. Murphy Gallery, St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN.
With a zest for sharing her love of fiber arts Fedyszyn teaches both children and adults at the Textile Center, Art Start, Life Works and many artist residencies in area schools; happily balancing her time teaching with her studio practice.
