The Bound Leather series developed from an intuitive hand sewing project I created for a road trip the summer of 2015. Using pieces of scrap felt from other projects I blanket stitched random shapes together, creating small geometric vessels. I translated that to the scraps of leather I had in my stash, combining them with wool or fleece as an experimentation in form.
